About Me

How it started

My parents bought a brand new 1970 Malibu from Nickey Chevrolet in Chicago. The Fathom Blue 2 door Malibu served as our family car until 1983.

One day it didn't start, in addition to severe mid-west rust damage, several unrepaired accidents, and me not being of driving age, my parents decided to place an add at the local Jewel Osco. Asking price $50.

Since 1983 I started monitoring local ads for 1970 Malibu's. I collected ads and started to collect promotional and dealer memorabilia. In 1989 with the help of my mother I was able to obtain a Chevelle after following up with an ad in the Trading Times.
